I have neck pain, so it got me thinking of a solution for others:
Let's consider the concept of "good debt" – investments that yield significant returns. I have an innovative idea that could offer such a return for our state by addressing two critical areas simultaneously: environmental sustainability and public well-being. My proposal involves incentivizing a simple behavioral change – encouraging individuals to take fewer, longer showers. This reduction in water and energy consumption directly combats climate change. To motivate this shift, I propose an incentive program that redirects a portion of the resulting savings towards vital research into at-home pain management solutions. While this initiative may require an initial investment, it represents a "good debt" by fostering a healthier population and a more sustainable environment for the future.
Heating water for showers is the third largest energy expense in U.S. homes, accounting for approximately 17% of residential water use. From U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) WaterSense program.
Finally; Honest men and women smell bad. Especially we need a smell police, and body shame people who smell bad as well in public. People need to shower for once in their lives.
I have to invent a Smart Shower Head with Water Usage Tracking and Algorithm. But that is practical and requires a smart person.
Finding the right framing and partners will be key to its potential success.
Pilot the program.
